Q: What is Honest Insite?

A: Honest Insite is a market research panel. It is a community of individuals who agree to share their views and opinions by honestly answering survey questions from leading marketing research companies all over the world. It is a fun way to learn about and influence the products and services you use every day.

Q: How do I join Honest Insite?

A: To join our community, there is a simple form to fill out (click here to join). After you sign-up we will send an e-mail to verify you wish to join. Once you click on a link in this email and sign into the website using your username and password, this will confirm your membership.  Keep in mind some spam filters may keep our e-mails from hitting your inbox. You may need to check your 'Bulk' or 'Junk' e-mail folders and indicate e-mails from HonestInsite.com are not junk or bulk mail. Join Now.

Q. How do I ensure that I receive Honest Insite emails?

A: The best method to ensure Honest Insite emails reach your inbox is to add our email address to your address book – “Panel@honestinsite.com”. Many email providers allow you to do this easily with an ‘Add to address book’ option, ‘mark e-mail as safe' or 'This is not spam' options.

If your mailbox does not have an address book, safe list or contact list, please contact your email service providers’ tech support and ask how they can make sure e-mail from “panel@HonestInsite.com” or the domain "honestinsite.com" makes it into your inbox.

Q. Do I have to pay anything to join?

A: Participation doesn’t cost money, just your time. To compensate you, we offer rewards - redeemable for cash or prizes.

Q.How do I earn rewards?

A: Rewards are accrued each time you take a survey. Each survey invitation will clearly state the total earned for completing the survey and other details about possible prizes. Typically, you will earn between $.10 and $3.00 worth of rewards. 

Q. What do I get for my rewards?

A: In the US, rewards can be redeemed for Hallmark gift cards which can be used at over 350 retailers, restaurants, travel and entertainment providers. We have also recently implemented PayPal as an option

In Canada, HI points be redeemed through Click & Buy Canada which allows you to simply and securely buy from more than 7,000 online merchants around the world including Apple iTunes, Skype, msn, AOL, Electronic Arts (EA), SanDisk and T-Online. PayPal has now been implemented in Canada as well.

You will be able to redeem your rewards once you have a minimum of $5.00 in your account. To redeem, click the link to check your point balance when logging into Honestinsite.com. If you have the required minimum amount, you will see a link to click to redeem with the reward program that you have selected.

Q. Why do you ask me information about myself?

A: We want to match you up with surveys that might be of interest to you. We use the information you provide during that matching process. Rest assured any personal information you provide will remain confidential and used purely for research purposes. We are members of following organizations created to uphold ethical survey research: (MRA, AMA, ESOMAR, and CASRO). Review our privacy policy to find out more about how the privacy of your information is protected.

Q. Can I change my email address?

A: For security purposes, if you need to update your password, please send an email to contactus@honestiniste.com with your request. Please make sure to include the original email address that you registered with, along with the new address you would like to update to.

Q. How do I update my personal information?

A: If you change your physical address, or any other personal information, sign in using your username and password. There is an option to update your information.

Q. Who is eligible to join HonestInsite.com?

A: Honest Insite membership is open to all individuals at least 13 years of age or older. Membership at this time is limited to people living within Canada and the United States of America, one of its commonwealths' or protectorates. Review our terms and conditions for more information.

Q. Change your mind and no longer want to be involved with Honest Insite?

A: No problem. Feel free to discontinue your membership anytime. No pressure. If you wish to leave the panel and not participate in market research surveys, sign in and click unsubscribe on the member page or click on the opt-out link within any survey invitation.

Q. How will I be notified of survey opportunities?

A: We will contact you via email at the email address you provided when signing up.

Q. How quickly after joining should I expect to start receiving e-mail invitations?

A: It generally takes a few weeks for new members to start receiving email invitations to surveys.

Q. Why do you ask for my cell phone number?

A: We’re glued to our cell phones, and we thought maybe you were too. That’s why we are working on a process to notify you via text message that a survey is available. This is optional, feel free to provide your cell number, or not…it’s up to you.

Q. What if I don't want to take a particular survey?

A: There is no requirement to participate in a specific survey. There is an option in each survey invitation to decline a specific survey. We may send reminder e-mails (if you haven’t taken or declined the survey) just as a notice that the survey is still available in case you decide to participate.

Q. How do you protect my information?

A: We strive to ensure proper safeguards are in place to protect the integrity and confidentiality of information collected. We use secure socket layer (SSL) encryption to protect the transmission of personal information submitted to us through secure online forms, such as, during the registration of panel members on Honest Insite. All the information you provide us through these forms is stored securely offline. In addition we use firewall and password protection systems.
